Hey everyone! I want to talk about a project I’ve been working on that I’m extremely passionate about and have been excited to announce for a long time. That is (insert drumroll)… a Robot Monster graphic novel!? Yep! I’m finally going to be achieving my dream of becoming a published author!

Let’s rewind the clocks back a year or so. My good friend, Bob Furmanek, told me he got the rights to a character called Robot Monster. Said character originally debuted in the film Robot Monster in 1953 as one of the first ever 3D movies. It’s a funny movie, although they didn’t mean it to be. Mystery Science Theater 3000 riffed it and they made it a cult classic. When Bob was done restoring the 3D film, he debated what to do with the rights and eventually came up with the idea of a comic, or a collection of comics!

I loved the idea. As an aspiring writer, it’d be my dream to become a published author before I even become an adult. So, letting Bob know of my enthusiasm, I was brought onto the project! I immediately set out plotting potential stories and eventually decided on 2. Two stories that you’ll have to buy the graphic novel to see (sorrynotsorry)!

I’ve loved every minute of writing the scripts for the stories, and I can’t wait to see how the artists we have bring all our stories to life – and it’s in 3D! This whole opportunity has been so amazing, and I can’t thank both Bob Furmanek and Paul Castiglia enough for allowing me to be a part of it. Everyone else in the project has done so many great things, I’m proud to be working with them.

For now, however, we are still in need of funding to publish the comic. As of the time I’m writing this, we have raised just over $5,400 of the $20,000 we need. The immediate support has been amazing, and I thank every single one of our current backers immensely. If you want to donate, you can do so here.

Even if you only have a few dollars, every donation brings us closer to our goal and closer to my dream becoming reality. And if you can’t contribute, please share the link! The more attention the project gets, the better the chance it will happen.

That’s all for now, but I promise I’ll be back soon with more interviews and other content I think everyone will really like!
