Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to share that I’m officially back working on another incredible 3-D comic project: The Great Golden Age of 3-D Comics! It’ll be a stunning new 64-page hardcover that celebrates one of the most unique and visually groundbreaking eras in comic book history – and it’s on Kickstarter now!

From the same team behind ROBOT MONSTER COMICS IN 3-D, this collection dives straight into the magic of 1953, the year 3-D comics exploded onto the scene. We’re talking about beautifully restored stories from absolute legends like Jack Kirby, Joe Kubert, Bob Powell, Howard Nostrand, Norman Maurer, and more. Now, these aren’t just reprints, they’re pieces of art that have been brought back to life using cutting-edge restoration techniques (a term we’ve coined as Barnardization) that make them feel fresh, immersive, and kind of mind-blowing when you see the side-by-side comparisons.

On top of all that, every story has been picked out by yours truly to create what can only be described as a pantheon of epic-ness (a CarlsComix guarantee!). And if you’ve never experienced classic comics in 3-D before? You’re in for something seriously special. What’s been done behind the scenes so far is nothing short of giving fans a whole new way of reading and truly feeling these stories. It’s the kind of experience that reminds you comics have always been pushing boundaries.

Getting the chance to work on another 3-D comic project is something I genuinely don’t take for granted. There’s just something about the format, the creativity, the challenge, and the way it pulls you into the page, that makes it incredibly fun to be part of. Projects and opportunities like this don’t come around often, and being involved again feels like stepping back into something magical. It’s bigger, bolder, and packed with passion from everyone involved, and you can really feel that energy on every page.

This is really one of those projects that just hits differently, the kind that reminds you why you fell in love with comics in the first place. For me, this is absolutely one of them, and that’s for a very special reason that honestly doesn’t even feel real saying it out loud…

Alongside all of these legendary creators, this book will also feature a brand-new, original 3-D comic story written by me – and drawn by one of my all-time favorite artists Adriana Melo! I first met and interviewed her when I was 11 and I can’t believe I get to work with her now.

We made a full, action-packed, emotional superhero story, and seeing it exist in the same collection as some of the greatest names in comic history is surreal in the best possible way. It’s something I’ve poured a lot into, and I genuinely can’t wait for you all to read it and experience it in 3-D the way it was meant to be seen.
